About Apogee Consultants

Apogee Consultants began in the San Francisco Bay Area during the heady days of the internet boom in the late '90s.  Apogee focused initially on providing guidance and support to startup companies that were strong on ideas but short on administrative infrastructure, particularly in the finance and accounting departments.  

Some clients realized the need for more formal business planning to drive growth and attract capital; consequently we developed our strategic planning process (SAP), blending the main disciplines of marketing, finance and operations in a coherent and achievable strategy for sustainable growth.

Since relocating to Utah in 2004, Apogee began working with nonprofit organizations helping them understand and adopt professional management practices to help them achieve greater success.  When it comes right down to it, although the end objectives differ greatly between for-profit and non-profit organizations, the road to achieving organizational objectives is remarkably similar.

As we began to work with nonprofits, we realized that one of the obstacles facing them was a lack of understanding or expertise in marketing - particularly with branding, messaging and using the power of the internet to connect with their support community.  Once they grasped the value of properly marketing themselves, they faced another formidable obstacle - how to go about finding and managing affordable, reliable experts in branding and web development?  So, we developed a way of packaging those services to make them accessible, affordable and easily managed.
